Assessed the value of underlying real estate parcels, performed comparable company analysis and evaluated contingent liabilities and indemnity claims through multiple report iterations and a multiday hearing.
- Prepared an expert report assessing alleged losses arising from the transfer of intellectual property assets related to a leading pan-Asian hospitality brand at an alleged undervalue around the time of the parent firm’s bankruptcy.
- Prepared expert reports assessing alleged lost profits arising from post-acquisition breaches of noncompete and confidentiality provisions by the promoters of an Indian specialty chemicals company.
- Prepared expert reports quantifying losses suffered by a multinational investor due to the alleged wrongful imposition of sanctions following the Russia-Ukraine war. Performed fair market valuations of multibillion-dollar holding companies with interests across technology, retail, energy, healthcare and private equity, spanning three continents.
- Assisted in preparing expert reports assessing the impact of inflation-linked rent escalations on European commercial real estate assets amid rising European energy prices in 2022.
- Prepared an expert report assessing alleged losses arising from the failure to offtake Indonesian thermal coal by one of India’s largest integrated power companies under a long-term supply agreement. Assessed potential trading margins of a leading Indonesian producer and Indian power tariff pass-through mechanisms.
