The 2026 Professional Liability Defense Federation Annual Meeting brings together attorneys, claims professionals, insurers, risk managers and industry leaders for three days of education and discussion on emerging issues in professional liability defense.
Delta Consulting Group Director Avi Sharma will attend the conference and speak on the panel “Design Errors from Construction Delay: Liability and Causation in Design Professional Claims.”
Joined by Renee Goldberg of Arch Insurance and Julie Jorgensen from Spencer Fane LLP, Avi will discuss the complex liability and causation issues that arise when construction delay claims involve design professionals. The session will explore topics including incomplete or evolving designs, delegated design responsibilities, resequencing and loss of productivity, permitting complications and change order management. Panelists will also share practical approaches to evaluating delay exposure and developing defensible causation analyses.
