
Rubén Ferrero is an accomplished industrial engineer and forensic construction professional with 15 years of experience advising on large-scale capital projects and high-stakes international disputes. He has served as an independent delay and quantum expert, project controls manager, contract advisor, deputy construction director and Service Delivery Manager, overseeing a portfolio of more than 50 engineering projects and leading multiple project managers. His experience spans complex EPC and infrastructure programs across Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. His work includes expert analysis, reports and hearing support in numerous ICC arbitrations related to combined-cycle power plants, highways, offshore wind, mining, data centers and refinery disputes, as well as litigation involving cultural buildings, logistics incidents and technology implementations.
Ruben’s project-side experience is equally extensive. He has developed and led project controls for major energy facilities, prepared forensic delay and quantum assessments, managed subcontractor scope and performance, and advised on claims involving gross negligence, scope variations, consortium disputes, schedule impacts and financial distress. His background includes hands-on planning for multi-unit CCGT projects, creation of detailed Level 3–5 schedules, KPI and risk analysis, portfolio-level delivery oversight, and the implementation of lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
