
Rajat Rathi is a Director at Osborne Partners, A Delta Consulting Group Company, with more than 16 years of experience in business, asset and intangible asset valuation. He advises clients and counsel on valuation, financial and economic issues in commercial disputes and international arbitrations, including matters administered under LCIA, SIAC and DIAC rules. His dispute experience includes shareholder and joint venture disputes, private equity investments, intellectual property matters, misrepresentation and breach of warranty claims and lost profit and wasted cost assessments.
Rajat also has extensive experience providing valuations for transactions, financial reporting, management planning and tax purposes under U.S. GAAP and IFRS. He has significant experience in valuing privately held and early-stage businesses, companies with complex capital structures, fixed income securities and structured debt positions, alternative investments and intangible assets such as customer relationships, brands, trademarks and developed technology. - Led the valuation of a Middle East based steel pipe coating business in an LCIA arbitration arising from a joint venture dispute between an Indian listed company and a Malaysia-based global pipe coating company. - Prepared an expert report on behalf of the respondent in a DIAC-administered dispute involving a Middle East based concrete casting business. Reviewed the valuation positions advanced by the claimant’s expert and developed an independent assessment of the business’s value. (2025)
- Prepared an expert report on behalf of the respondent in an LCIA arbitration involving a Saudi Arabia-based alternative investment manager and a large European real estate-focused asset manager. - Prepared an expert report in a shareholder dispute before the Singapore Court involving a company that owns and operates a resort and timeshare property in Vietnam. - Assisted in developing a lost profits claim on behalf of a leading Indian ride-hailing services company arising from alleged service delivery failures by a global cloud services provider. Assessed the claimant’s loss model, developed heads of loss and identified valuation approaches to evaluate the financial impact on operations, profitability and market share. (2025-present)
- Prepared an expert report on behalf of the claimant in a post-M&A dispute following the acquisition of a pharmacy and diagnostics business in Indonesia. Assessed damages arising from alleged misrepresentations and breaches of warranty relating to the acquired business’s financial performance and position and valued the effect of the alleged breaches. - Led the audit of a $1.5 billion alternative credit portfolio spanning special situations, high-yield and direct lending strategies and personally valued a $600 million investment portfolio comprising structured debt and convertible securities for a midsized U.S.-based alternative asset manager.
