
Cade Hughes is a Senior Consultant in Delta’s Insurance & Recovery practice, where he supports clients with forensic accounting, financial analysis and complex claims matters. He has experience quantifying business interruption losses, developing financial models and analyzing financial records to support insurance claims, investigations and dispute resolution. Cade works closely with clients, insurers and other stakeholders to evaluate financial impacts and deliver clear, well-supported analyses that assist in resolving complex matters.
In addition to his claims and forensic accounting experience, Cade has supported enterprise risk assessments, crisis management planning and business continuity initiatives for organizations across a range of industries. He also served in an operational leadership role focused on improving analytical processes and collaboration across global teams.
- Contributed to the quantification of more than $1 billion in FEMA-approved COVID-19 financial losses for one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States, supporting the preparation of complex reimbursement claims and financial analyses.
- Helped quantify more than $55 million in property damage and business interruption losses for a professional sports organization, developing financial analyses and supporting documentation for a complex insurance claim.
- Performed financial analyses and insurance claim support across dozens of engagements spanning the manufacturing, retail, transportation, healthcare, hospitality and fraud sectors, assisting clients with complex loss quantification and recovery efforts.
- Evaluated the financial impact of a ransomware attack affecting a major healthcare system, analyzing losses across five facilities and more than 100 departments to support the recovery of over $9 million.
- Assisted in evaluating flood-related losses for a North American transportation company by developing value-chain analyses to identify increased operating costs, contributing to a global settlement that exceeded the client’s recovery expectations.
- Supported time-element loss quantification and onsite property damage evaluations for an international high-tech machine tooling manufacturer, helping assess business interruption and physical damage resulting from a significant loss event.
- Evaluated policy provisions and quantified business interruption losses for a multi-location sushi restaurant chain impacted by the California wildfires, addressing complex ingress/egress coverage issues to support the client’s insurance claim.
