Amar Majid is a Chartered Surveyor with over 10 years’ experience in infrastructure and construction projects in the UK and internationally. In addition, he has worked on numerous domestic and commercial new builds and refurbishment projects. The claim involved factors such as changes in the concrete lifting sequence, project acceleration, equipment issues, and unforeseen conditions.
- Quantum support to an Expert Witness in rebutting a $118 million labour cost escalation claim by an international contractor during the construction of a canal extension in South America.
- Quantum support on a $75 million damages claim by an international contractor for additional costs on two HVDC substations in North America. Support included analysing damages claimed and advising reasonable adjustments.
- Quantum support to Expert Witness on a $135 million damages claim by an international contractor for additional costs on a canal extension in South America. Support included analyzing damages making necessary adjustments and re-assessing costs.
- Project advisory providing comprehensive oversight of procurement status, advised on budget overspending and addressed issues impacting costs such as design changes and delayed approvals etc for over 30 packages valued up to £36 million on a power station project in Somerset, UK.
